It’s officially fall!!! and also Libra season, a.k.a. the best time of year.
Fall must-haves are very different from what was in my cart. These are fall staples that everyone needs to have in their closet for the upcoming season. Everything is so easy to style and throw on. Linking some of my favorites and the best place to find them.
Everything is linked on ShopMy at the bottom of the page!!!! I’ll continuously add all my new staple finds to it.
Cardigans
If you know me, you know I love to wear a cardigan. Cardigans are quite literally the best thing to throw on (especially for work) when you want to dress cute and still stay warm. All time best place to find cardigans is H&M for sure but for higher quality, I personally love American Vintage and Sézane.
Anything Suede
I recently touched on this in my fall shopping cart post but I’m so excited to finally wear suede this fall. The weather is cooling down and you can whip out that cool, lightweight jacket or pants, or even purse without sweating your butt off. I found this Mango suede jacket that I’m obsessed with and I think is such a good staple (and a unique piece) to have for the fall. I actually thrifted a suede jacket recently and I can’t wait to wear it. Check out my fall shopping cart post for my suede bag finds!
Dark-Wash Denim
Dark denim is just so chic for the fall. It pretty much goes with anything and sets the mood for the upcoming colder weather. Personally, my favorites are these from Reformation.
I also love these from AGOLDE and the Gap! You can also find great pairs of dark-wash jeans from Zara.
Black Boots
Best shoe to throw on for work or going out. I wear my Zara heeled pair every weekend and sometimes when I want to spice up my work outfit. Similar pair from Dolce Vita for a lil bit more money.
I also think a pair of ankle boots or Chelsea boots are a great staple to have in the fall and winter. Chelsea boots are especially great for being in NYC for gross rainy or snowy weather. Love these from Steve Madden and J.Crew (kinda Khaite dupes).
Trench Coats
I feel like really only New Yorkers wear trench coats(?) Like, I can’t imagine any of my West Coast friends in them (can someone confirm or deny?) HOWEVER! I do think they are a great staple to have for the colder months. Very easy to throw on and super fashionable. Dress them up or down, add a scarf, do what you want. Sometimes, they can be almost too expensive, not even worth it, but I found this amazing trench coat from H&M that looks high-end. My trench coat in my closet is from Nasty Gal, and she has been with me since the beginning of the NYC scary colder months.
I also love this Mango cropped jacket if you don’t want to commit to a long one
Chunky/Oversized Sweaters
Another closet staple you need to have this fall. H&M is also the queen of sweaters too but other places I love are Aritzia, Alex Mill, James Street Co., and Quince (for those Jenny Kayne dupes)
I find most of my Alex Mill and James Street Co. sweaters via Depop or Poshmark! Highly recommend it for a cheaper/more sustainable purchase.
